Erik Olson
Managing Director

Erik's years as a senior-level, marketing communications practitioner taught him that true brand insights come from a combination of information and human experience . . . from research and observation. Prior to joining Greenfield in 1997, Erik worked at Young & Rubicam/Burson-Marsteller for 17 years, starting as an account executive in Chicago and ultimately advancing to executive vice president and managing director of the marketing practice in the company's New York office. During his career with Greenfield, Erik has discovered powerful business and communications insights in a number of sectors including consumer packaged goods, pharmaceuticals, business-to-business, telecommunications, technology, and financial services. He has particular focus and expertise in the telecom/technology, financial services, and pharmaceutical sectors. Erik has worked on projects for a variety of global brands, including United Airlines, McDonald's, Ford Motor Company, Digital Equipment Corporation, Coca-Cola, ITT Industries, Microsoft, Pfizer, General Foods, Johnson & Johnson, Fidelity, Bristol Myers Squibb, Miller Brewing Company, Sears, Sony Ericsson, and Motorola. Erik received his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
