James Hutchinson
Managing Director

Jim Hutchinson's extensive marketing and advertising experience spans more than 20 years in senior-level positions with advertising agencies including DMB&B and, most recently, J. Walter Thompson, where he served as senior partner, group management director. During his agency days, Jim developed a broad range of experience across categories such as packaged goods, pharmaceuticals, financial services, travel/tourism, automotive products, retail, and food & beverage. Since joining Greenfield Consulting Group in 1999, Jim has led major research projects for top marketers, such as Wyeth, Sprint Nextel, Cadbury Adams, Microsoft, Sanofi-Aventis, Capital One, Absolut Spirits, Napster, BP, and Motorola. Projects have involved brand positioning, new product development, advertising, promotion, taste testing, Web site usability, retail store formats, and employee satisfaction. His research has been conducted among consumers, business-to-business, physicians, and C-level managers. Jim received a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from Columbia School of Business.
