In 1981, while still in college, Bob started his qualitative research career as a member of The Gene Reilly Group's Children's Studies Division. In 1988 he left to join BAIGlobal, starting BAI's qualitative division, and served as division director through 1997. In 1998 Bob became executive research director at BAIGlobal/Synovate, a position that allowed him to conduct research personally as well as act as mentor/consultant/ trainer/quality control for the rest of the growing division. Over the years, Bob has conducted research for clients in virtually every product and service category, including children's research, financial services, telecommunications, information technology, consumer products, fast food, automotive, and health care/pharmaceuticals. Bob earned his bachelor's degree at Bates College.
